- Abstract
- Ecological Support Areas (ESA) are regarded as second priority areas after the EBSAs.
EBSA methodology uses Systematic Conservation Planning as a spatial
prioritisation tool that supports decision-making about actions (usually with limited
resources) that optimise benefits for biodiversity at the least cost to society. The
methodology is documented in MARISMA EBSA Workstream, 2020. Ecologically or
